SEYMOUR SOKOLOFF Obituary

In his 93rd year, on Friday, December 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Rhona Wilner for 35 years. Adored father and father-in-law of Sheryl Schwartz, Bonnie and Jay Lefton, Wendy Sokolo and Douglas Wright, the late Frankie Sokolo; and caring stepfather of Samuel Shpritser, Eve Shpritser, and Jill Shpritser. Loving "Grandpa Socky" of David and Liz, Arielle and Justin, Jonathan and Lior; Emily and fiancé John, Clare, and Ben; Aydan, and Lucas; Hannah, and Leora. Great-grandfather of Elie. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Jerry and Marilyn Sokolo, the late Elliot Sokolo; and brother-in-law of Anne and Barry Stein, and the late Allen Wilner. His nieces, nephews, and their families will remember him with love. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Seymour's family would like to acknowledge the doctors, nurses, and staff of the 15th floor at the Montreal General Hospital for their exceptional care, kindness, and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, December 22nd at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery #1 (A5), de la Savane. Shiva at his home. My name is Yuri, a friend of Wendy´s for 25 years. I first met Socky at one of Wendy´s house gatherings. Socky made sure to remember my name from the start, in his special way of making your presence known. Although I only saw Socky occasionally at Wendy's, he was always pleasant and greeted me with a BIG "hello, how you doing, good to see ya" every time.
