Sheila KURTZ Obituary

KURTZ, Sheila Melanie (nee Weisinger)

God's finger touched her
and she slept.
Stephen and Goldie Kurtz and fiance Benjamin Fisher sadly note the death of their beloved wife and mother, Sheila Melanie on September 26, 2004. She was the best wife and mother and teacher. Sheila was the cherished daughter of Arthur (A'H) and Sylvia Wesinger of Toronto and a devoted sister to David (Relly) and Jack (Gail). She was the much loved daughter-in-law of Abe Kurtz and sister-in-law of Bev Magennis. For thirty years Sheila taught art and photography at Belle River District High School. She earned the great respect of her colleagues through her constant professionalism and good nature. Hundreds of students will remember her as a teacher who loved and inspired them to create. Family, friends, and neighbours will miss a truly wonderful, intelligent and beautiful person. We wish to extend our thanks to all the caring people who visited, sent cards, prayed and attended to Sheila during her illness. Our appreciation for your thoughtfulness knows no bounds. Truly all who knew her loved her. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave. W. (between Bathurst & Yonge). Interment Pardes Shalom Cemetery, Community 4 Section. Shiva will be observed at 267 Mullen Dr., Thornhill at the home of Jack and Gail Weisinger. In lieu of shiva gifts and flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
