Aged 91, passed peacefully at
the Queensway Carleton
Hospital in Ottawa on
December 27, 2017. She is
survived by her children,
Kathy Nielsen, Heather
Cowan, Jane Cunningham-
Tyre (Robert), Karen
Williams (Stuart), Cameron
Cunningham; and dear sisters,
Pauline Hogarth and Charlene
White. She was predeceased
by her husband, Kenneth
Cunningham; and daughter,
Laurie Cooney. She was
blessed with 9 grandchildren
and 10 great-grandchildren.
Shirley will be remembered
by many nieces, nephews,
and extended family.
   Shirley grew up in Island
Grove, Ontario and attended
school in Keswick and
Newmarket. She was a loving
wife and devoted mother.
Shirley loved cooking and
baking. She took pride in
winning baking awards at
community fairs. Throughout
her life Shirley was involved
in church organizations,
LOBA, Rotary Club, and the
Conservative Party.
   A celebration of life for Shirley
will be held in the spring at
Queensville Cemetery.

the Arthritis Society or the
Humane Society.
