SHIRLEY PHILLIPS Obituary
Born July 11, 1935. Passed away December 26, 2024, at Mount St. Joseph Hospital. Shirt was a fun-loving person. She worked for BC Telephone as an Operator and then a Desk Clerk. She was very witty, always coming up with an amusing "thing or two!" Shirley was very talented, musically and artistically. She played the accordion and often joined in with "Dixie" on the piano for many enjoyable times. She was very creative and her "doodles" with felt pens produced some very interesting abstract art. England was a favourite travel destination, and her "English Family" was always pleased to see her. Many other trips. both driving and by train. took her across Canada and many American spots. Shirley was an avid golfer for many years, participating in the Telephone Pioneers of America Annual Golf and Picnic at Peace Arch Park. She then joined BC Telephone Retired Ladies Golf Club, where she won many prizes. Shirley is remembered with fond memories. A service will be held on January 11th at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 2444 E. 41st Ave. Refreshments to follow. Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium
