STREZOS, Sophie
Peacefully at home with her family at her side. Sophie passed away on Monday, September 20, 1999. She devoted herself fully, completely and unselfishly to the welfare of her husband, her children, her grandchildren and others. She touched the lives of many people and we all owe her a tremendous debt of gratitude for the example that she set for us all. Sophie will be remembered by Peter, her loving and devoted husband of 48 years; her daughter Mary and her husband Terry Sheehy; her sons Tom and Lou and their wives Claire and Paula. Her grandchildren were the stars of her universe; Monika, Krista, Nicholas, Lucas and Matthew. Also remembered by her brothers Peter Stoikos and his wife Kathy, Tom Stoikos and his wife Chrisanthi and their families. Baba's wonderful sense of humour and her selfless devotion to our lives will be sorely missed. Sophie put up a tremendous and courageous battle to the very end. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, South of Steeles) on Wednesday, September 22nd and Thursday September 23rd between 2-4 and 5:30 - 9 p.m. Her funeral will be held at St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church, 76 Overlea Blvd. on Friday, September 24th at 11 a.m. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral at York Cemetery. Our deepest gratitude to Dr. and Mrs. James Tanovich, Dr. John Geleff, Dr. Paul Goss, Chrisanthi, Kathy, Cora, Cecille and Sarita for all of their help and support.
