I met Stanley almost two decades ago at a Globalaw meeting when I was a junior lawyer. After that, we met once more at his club in Toronto where he took me with my wife (who I met through Globalaw!) for breakfast. I remember that meeting (and the coffee they served!) very fondly. I learnt about his Eastern European roots (Elkin).
We did not share many connections but he struck me as a kind, generous and clever man. For years I had been looking for opportunities to reconnect.
Very sad to hear about his passing.

Dear Genia, I offer you my heartfelt condolences. Much time has passed since our paths have crossed, however I still remember how Stan adored you in every glance. Camp Arowhon & his friendship with my husband Billy introduced us & I always found Stan easy to talk with. Very friendly; very insightful. I had not followed his career but not surprised at his (and your) successes.
May you come to find solace & comfort in the memories you shared... in time.
With much fondness,
Judi Bader Draimin

I saw Stan frequently when we were growing up. He was a friend of my brother Gerry and frequently at the house on Friday or Saturday night before they went put. Apart from his clothes (we all looked like slumps compared to him) I remember him for his quick wit and his ready smile. And, behind all that a searching intelligence. I have not, I think, talked to him for more than 10 minutes in the past decades, but it is a measure of the man that, while I can hardly remember what we had for dinner yesterday I still see him so clearly. My condolences to his family.

dear Genia,
Elaine Lister of Mackrell International brought us the sad news that Stan has recently passed away. I feel so sorry for you. You both left Mackrell International 15 years ago, but I can assure you both were not forgotten by me. Not later then last Sunday I talked to my wife Emmy about Stan and his three-piece suits and this without knowing his passing away. I wish you much strenght in these difficult days.
