STEPHANIE FLYNN Obituary

Our incredible gift was taken from us at the much too early age of 55 on July 26, 2024. She leaves behind her parents, R-J and Humphrey Gilbert; her much-loved children, Cameron, Braeden and Caitlin. She will be missed by her sister and best friend, Lisa along with her children, Stephanie's nephews, Jack and Charlie. Steph grew up in Toronto attending elementary school at Whitney. Moving on to graduate from Branksome Hall, she was a prefect in her final year. She earned an undergraduate degree at Western University followed by one year at Seneca College. The working world took her to the National Ballet, University Health Network and University of Toronto. The family lived in Oakville for a few years before relocating to London, Ontario. She was a single Mom devoted to her children for 15 years during which time she established a very successful jewellery design business. In 2019, she went back to work in Corporate Development full time at Western University. What a caring, devoted Mother and problem solver with inner strength. Although our lives will never be the same without her, we take comfort in knowing she has finally been reunited with her first-born daughter, Alexandra. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Steph's life at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, London, Ontario on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Steph both volunteered and spent her final days at St. Joseph's Hospice of London; a wonderful organization to which donations would be much appreciated.

I am so saddened to learn of Stephanie's passing just now. She was a wonderful and warm person whom I had the privilege of getting to know through our daughters' close friendship at Jack Chambers PS. I will always remember fondly our chats with wine. Our trip to the winery near GB, keep close the jewelry she made for me and our similar love of 80's music and nostalgia. Sending love to her family...especially the loves of her life C,B & C.

Cameron, Braeden and Caitlin,
Your mom was a treasured friend who emanated kindness, strength, and grace in the way that she lived her life and loved those in her life - particularly the three of you. She was more comfortable behind the lens, than in front of it - so I'm so glad to have this photo to share with you from a day that we had so much fun on and she reluctantly agreed to let me ask a random person to snap! I miss her dearly.

She once made me a special piece of jewelry with this attached: "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy." I will wear it close to my heart and look up to the stars for her now, as I surely know she will always be looking down upon all of you.
Love and care to you and your family,
Sherry
