We are very grateful for the long and wonderful friendship with the Ambler family. Steve and Liz welcomed us so kindly to the Dumble Street neighbourhood many years ago.
Some of our fondest memories are of spending family time with the Amblers on Christmas Eve. We will always be touched by the memory of Steve's warmth, quick wit, the joy he showed watching the children skating on the backyard rink and his jolly demeanor.
The many fun Hotpoint road trips were also times of great family togetherness.
How heartwarming it is that the seed of friendship with Steve and Liz has created strong bonds of friendship in the next generation as well.
Sending lots of love and remembering fondly your very special Dad.

So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. We were fortunate to have lunch and a great visit with him this past summer - Peter and Steve reminiscing and laughing about the annual hunting trips.
Steve will be remembered as a generous and fun friend - always a gentleman. His extensive travels made for interesting conversation and perspective. Steve will be missed.
Condolences to his family and Anya.

It is very sad to hear Stev's passing. As a highschool friend along with
Larry Hill and others we had a friendship around PCVS in the 60's. Later
In Montreal before they went on a European adventure. We met Stev a few times latter when he returned to Canada from South Africa, He was always an easy going, fun and popular guy. Now living in Peterborough I am sorry l never made an attempt to reconnect. John
