Stephen SHERIDAN Obituary
STEPHEN FRANCIS SHERIDAN November 19, 1947 - May 1, 2023 Stephen was the devoted husband of 42 years to Ellie; loving father to Rebecca (Jason) and Joanna (Mark) and grandfather to Maeve and her cousin on the way; and fondly remembered by siblings Jeremy (Anna) and Josephine (Malcolm) in Brisbane and brothers-in-law Martin (Diana) and Donald in the US. Stephen was known for treating everyone he met with respect and kindness. He came to Toronto from Australia in the 70s and provided decades of dedicated service as a veterinarian at the Toronto Humane Society. A funeral mass will take place at St. Peter's Parish, Toronto, on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10 a.m. Online condolences may be left at cardinalfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory can be made to Covenant House or a Charity of Your Choice.

Stephen Sheridan came to my aid with my first and most traumatic rescue, Max. Out of the blue, I'd signed on to take care of 100lb intact GSD, and "shepherd" him through the last weeks. Stephen provided invaluable support and knowledge, that helped me navigate my first palliative rescue. Max enjoyed his last weeks with us; Stephen played a huge role in helping make that experience a happy and comfortable one for my boy. Rest in peace Dr. Sheridan, with humble and heartfelt thanks, mitch nadon, maxie, & cyril.
