SIMS, Stuart Donald,M.D., F.R.C.S.(C)
It is with sadness that we announce his passing, quietly with family, on Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Humber Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Toronto, Stu attended Malvern Collegiate and the University of Toronto. He pursued his chosen career, becoming a medical doctor and practicing obstetrics & gynecology in Weston until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed being with family, playing golf, boating and travelling in retirement. Beloved husband of Laurie (McNain) and loving father of Charles and his wife Laurie (Logan) of San Mateo, Martin and his wife Karen (Parker) of Aurora. Dear grandfather of Tory, Julia, Mallory and Jacqueline. Never to be forgotten, his wit, wisdom and spirit will live on in those who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A. W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (South of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16. A Memorial Service will be held at ROSEDALE UNITED CHURCH, 159 Roxborough Drive, on Monday, June 18 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 1920 Yonge Street, 4th Floor, Toronto M4S 3E2, would be appreciated by the family.
