It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Elizabeth Armstrong, who died peacefully, on August 21, 2025, with her family by her side, at the Campbell House in Collingwood, after a courageous battle with cancer. Susan's life was filled with love, laughter, and devotion for all her friends. She had a gift of building a special rapport with those she met. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her infectious smile, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. Susan will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Chris Baptiste, who has been by her side through every step of her difficult journey. Born September 8, 1959, in Toronto, Ontario, Susan was the cherished daughter of Mary Armstrong and the late Gerry Armstrong; and beloved sister of Robert (and his wife, Anne), sister, Carol, and sister-in-law, Marie Watts (and her husband, Paul). She was a devoted aunt to Maddie and Harry, Emily and Katie, Timothy and Christopher. She will also be dearly missed by her extended family and countless friends from near and far. The family would like to thank the Collingwood Hospital ICU and Medical Ward, Campbell House Hospice for the comfort and care they provided to Susan. A celebration of Susan's life will be held on August 29, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Fawcett Funeral Home, 82 Pine Street, Collingwood, ON L9Y 2N7, where friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and honour her memory.
