SUSAN HELLER Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Myfanwy Heller on November 3, 2025, age 79, at Guelph General Hospital with loving family by her side. Beloved wife to Ron for 55 years; and a loving mother to Lyle (Sandra). Susan was the proud grandmother of Brooklyn, Gabrielle, and Charlotte. Dear sister to Bob (Marion); and sister-in-law to Karin and Fred Dawkins. She was predeceased by her parents, Marjorie and Leslie Thomas Radford; and her stepfather, Doug Tarrant. Susan will be greatly missed by all her friends, nieces, and nephews, and other extended family. Susan and her family immigrated from England when she was a young girl and started a life in Acton. She was a devoted teacher, both in Acton at MSB as well as elementary schools in Guelph. She had a great love for animals, especially cats and dogs, and had many pets throughout her life. Susan also had a passion for sports; she loved to ski and can only be described as "vicious" on the tennis court. Susan was very spiritual, a dedicated member of St. Alban's Anglican Church for many years. Susan and Ron spent more than 51 Summers on Horseshoe Island in Muskoka. There are many joyous memories of their time spent there with family and wonderful friends. Sue was a beautiful soul. She was very kind and cared deeply for everyone in her life, she showed incredible patience and love to her husband and son. She was beautiful, classy, and had the most welcoming smile. She fought many health battles and never once complained; she moved gracefully through life, handling every obstacle with dignity, grace and elegance. A visitation will occur on Saturday, November 8, from 10 – 11 a.m. at St. Alban's Anglican Church, 19 St. Albans Dr. Acton, ON L7J 1C6. A funeral service will follow beginning at 11 a.m. There will be a Celebration of Life at Cutten Fields, 190 College Ave. E., Guelph, ON N1H 6L3 immediately following the Church services. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Guelph Humane Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Yesterday

Hello Ron and Lyle,
I am so sorry about the passing of Susan. She was a lovely, fun, caring, sporty woman. I admired her resilience as she faced her health issues with grace and a sense of humour. I have so many fun memories of Susan in Muskoka over the approximately 50 years I've known her. She will be missed. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.
