Susan Clare Little (née Grant) left us on January 20, 2026, at her home in Collingwood, Ontario, surrounded by the love of her husband and three children. True to form, she turned a six-month cancer prognosis into three-and-a-half years of quality time filled with travel, golf, and cocktail parties with family and friends. She particularly loved time spent with her lifelong friends, the "golden girls." A Maritimer through and through, Susan was born on February 12, 1945, in Moncton, New Brunswick, to parents, Doris and T. Roy. She graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1966, where she met and fell in love with her husband of 57 years. She spent many years teaching high school English and English as a Second Language. Susan will be remembered far and wide for her humour, courage, and kindness, especially at her favourite places - golf clubs OslerBrook, Mad River, Black Diamond and ski club Devil's Glen - as well as in her Georgian Bay neighbourhood of Mariners Haven. She loved her adopted town of Collingwood and was a big supporter of its hospital foundation. Susan is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Stacey, Scott (Cynthia), and Ryan; her grandchildren, Sienna and Leo; her sister, Eleanor (Jim); and her brother, Milton (Lynne). A service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29th, at All Saints' Anglican Church, 32 Elgin St., Collingwood. For those who cannot attend in person, it will be livestreamed at
www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com, where friends may also contribute to a Book of Memories. Those wishing to honour Susan's memory are invited, in lieu of flowers, to continue her family's work supporting Ukraine at
