(1948 – 2025) Susan passed away peacefully, in Edmonton, in the early morning of December 24, 2025, with family by her side, following a long and valiant battle with Alzheimer's. Susan was born in Peace River, Alberta, to Kenneth and Ann McCormick. The family moved to Edmonton, where Susan completed her education and began her working career. Susan was devoted to her family, and her pride and joy was Fraser. She was so proud of his accomplishments, and how he grew to be the fine person he is today. While managing a home and family, Susan also graduated with a degree in Psychology from The University of Alberta. Susan had a keen eye for architecture and interior design. She created and oversaw the construction or renovation of six homes across Canada. She was a lover of dogs, an amazing cook, voracious reader, passionate gardener, avid golfer, music fan and Leonard Cohen enthusiast... and she looked fantastic doing it all. Susan was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Ann; her brother, Peter; and sister, Sheila. She is survived by three siblings, Debra, Jeanette (Bob), and Alison; her husband, Neil; son, Fraser; seven nieces and four nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Exquisicare Manor for the care they provided to Susan. We also have a deep gratitude to her companions: Kristen, Aidan, Cassidy and Emma for the excellent daily care they provided to Susan. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
