Sylvia MORAWETZ

SYLVIA MORAWETZ (HENDERSON) A beautiful spirit and kind soul, Sylvia left us on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. After courageously living with cancer, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the age of 56. Vivacious, beautiful and generous of heart, we celebrate Sylvia's many efforts to make the world a better and more special place. Sylvia faced the world with creativity and spontaneity. She dedicated herself to the arts, children, music, travel and charities. Sylvia will be remembered with love as mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and the very best of friends. She leaves her children Jennifer, Jonathan and Christian; her parents John and Maureen; and her siblings Sonja (Steven), Peter (Michelle), Virginia Coatsworth and Kathryn (Ted). She will forever live on in our hearts. There will be a small private service. Sylvia's family welcomes you to a visitation at Rosedale United Church, 159 Roxborough Drive, Toronto on Wednesday, April 15 from 4 - 8 p.m. A gathering celebrating Sylvia's life will be announced at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sylvia's name to Tapestry New Opera Works or to the Regent Park School of Music (Oskar Morawetz Scholarship Fund).
