Loving father and father-in-law of Marilyn and Sammy Sliwin, Elaine and Mitch Grossman, and Carolyn Schwartz and Ian Shufflebotham. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mike Schwartz, the late Ernie Schwartz, and Anci and Ignutz Farkus. Devoted grandfather of David and Erin, Daniel and Arielle, Noah and Heidi, Lee and Aliza, Stacy, and Jesse, great-grandfather of Carter, Jack, and Bree. Ted will be fondly remembered by Eleanor Goldlist. Many thanks to his wonderful caregivers Maya, Aileen, and Mae. My uncle, Edward Godel, who passed away in 2018 at 97yrs old, told me stories about Ted (Tibor) in our weekly phone conversations over 2 decades. I only spoke to Ted a few times and visited him once in Toronto, perhaps in 1970. I wish I got to know him better, also his wife Paulette and their family , but this never worked out. In recent years I tried to track down his brother, who my uncle told me was a wonderful artist, but without any luck. Both he and Ted I was told were very successful in business. Thinking of this part of my family as I try to come to grips with the loss of my house and possessions, including family photos (except a few), in the Sept 2020 wildfire in Southern Oregon. May Ted's extraordinary life and accomplishments be an inspiration to family and friends and those whose lives were touched and made better by his kind acts. Take care Paulette. My deepest condolences to you and the family.
