TERRY J. O'CONNELL
Terry passed away suddenly on April 22, 2014 at home. Born and raised in Ottawa, he graduated from The University of Ottawa. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joan. He is the proud father of Hugh from Toronto and Jen (Brooks) from Atlanta. He will be remembered warmly by his sister- and brother-in law Janet and Chuck Belford from Ottawa and their children Grant and David. He spent his career in the printing industry but his real passion was sailing his boat Windstar out of the RCYC. His retirement years were spent curling, golfing, worshiping at St. Mary's and being active in the Collingwood community. An avid sports fan, Terry made friends easily and will be missed by many. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 3 at The Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club, 706 10th Line, Collingwood from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with reflections at 5:00 p.m. If desired, donations in his memory may be made to either the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital or the Hospice Georgian Triangle.
