THOMAS A. CURRELL Passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Sault Area Hospital at the age of 43. Tom was a brave man who made a long and gallant struggle against a rare progressive genetic disease, Ataxia telangectasia. Despite his illness he never lost his sense of humour and love of life. A devout Catholic, he was an active member of St. Jerome's Parish for many years. Tom lived for 17 years at Cara Community in an assisted living apartment during which time he worked to earn a Liberal Arts Diploma at Sault College. He spent his final year at Mapleview long term care home. He is survived by his mother Rose LaCroix, father Robert Currell and numerous loving relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass will take place at a later date as Covid restrictions permit. Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
