Thomas JUDGE Obituary
Passing away peacefully, in his 94th year, on August 18, 2024, Tom will be sorely missed by Nancy, his wife of 67 years; three sons, Michael (Marissa, Paula d. 2017), Andrew (Rooney) and Greg (Marie); and also, by his three grandchildren, Hayley (John), Spencer and Kaitlyn; and his great-granddaughter, Isabel. Tom will be missed by his many friends and long-time former partners at Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt, where he enjoyed many fulfilling years practicing law. He will also be missed by his friends in Oakville where he and Nancy chose to raise their family, settling in 1966. A passionate bridge player, Tom relished every opportunity to play bridge either at the Oakville Club, or through the St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church bridge league, which provided him with many years of friendly competition and good company. A proud multi-generational Bluenoser, Tom was born to Russell Judge and Helen Gertrude Stoneman, in 1931 in Yarmouth, NS, and predeceased by his younger brother, Richard. Until unable to travel, Tom would spend the summer season at the family cottage on the south shore of Nova Scotia, which brought him immense enjoyment and provided quality time with loved ones which he valued and cherished. The family would like to thank the team at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital who cared so professionally and thoughtfully for Tom during his later years, along with the caring and compassionate group of PSWs, nursing and general staff at Amica Bronte Harbour, where Tom resided with Nancy until his passing. Abiding by Tom's wishes, a private family service has been held and he has been laid to rest in St. Jude's Anglican Cemetery in Oakville.
