THOMAS KILLORAN Obituary

Tom passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at North Bay Regional Health Centre after a very difficult week dealing with pneumonia. As he told us, he'd had a good run. He remained engaged to the end, worrying about and sharing his opinions regarding the state of the world, the future of the next generation, and the most recent sports scores. Tom would be the first to tell you that he was a very lucky guy. He enjoyed a long life, filled with family, enduring friendships, interesting travel, and a lot of fun. He had a rewarding career at the CIBC, starting as a teller in Cobalt and culminating in executive positions in Toronto. But it was in love that he was especially fortunate. In Marjorie Killoran and May Rogers, he found two devoted and loving partners to share 70 years of marriage. Tom and Marjorie had been married almost 40 years when she passed away in 1991. and he and May recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Tom leaves behind his beloved wife, May, who will miss him terribly. He will be remembered fondly by his children, Judith Killoran (Denise Ashby), Mary Killoran (Doug Bradley), Frank Killoran (T.J.), and Maureen Killoran (Ray Daniels); and by May's children, Phyllis Shannon (Rob), Stephen Rogers (Trish Berringer), Linda Hayhurst (David), Douglas Rogers (Louise), and Christine Rogers (Chris Clement); as well as by his 26 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his siblings, Patrick Killoran, Colleen Klein, Larry Killoran and Sharon Cameron; and is survived by siblings, Karen-Anne McArthur, Sheila Grafmuller (Joe), and Sister Maureen Killoran. The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption (North Bay) on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tom's memory to North Bay Regional Health Centre or a Charity of Your Choice. Knew him from his Northern Ontario days. Did the Run for the Cure(walk) in the late 60's on the backroads from Timmins to South Porcupine and back with him. Did a lot of chatting .Worked with Christine in Ottawa. Sorry for your loss.

Condolences to Tom´s family.
I was his secretary at St Clair & Dufferin, Toronto in mid `70´s.
During the branch renovations, he told the contractor he was making mistakes!
