THOMAS LEWIS Obituary
Passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, in his 93rd year. Tom is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughter, Sandra; and granddaughter, Charlie-Mae, who miss him greatly. Tom is also survived by three of his four siblings, Charles, Maurice, and Mary-Rose (predeceased by Mark), and many nieces and nephews in Australia. An avid baseball fan, you would often see him watching a Jays game sitting on the edge of his chair cheering them on... but nothing surpassed his dedication and love for British Football and his team "Arsenal" (which he loved to watch even in re-runs). Tom loved Indy car racing, and he and Mary would travel around the USA to watch Indy car races in their retirement in between trips to Marco Island Florida, a place he considered his second home. Tom enjoyed a long career with CIBC, which started in 1957 upon immigrating to Canada from England (via Australia) until his retirement in 1993. Tom's wishes were for no services or viewing. A private ceremony was held graveside at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Mississauga. Donations are encouraged to the Peel Alzheimer's Society.
