He dedicated his talents and skills to the Danish Air Force and later, the US Air Force, where he piloted the iconic Mustang aircraft. After his distinguished career in the Air Force, Torben ventured into a new horizon - the world of art. Beyond his legacy in the Canadian art business, Torben was a legendary character, known for his charm, charisma, and infamous punchlines that echoed through every room he entered. Torben's wit and zest for life was contagious, and those who knew him agree he can only be described as legendary. At the center of Torben's universe was his beloved wife, Patricia, who stood by his side for 12 years as they weathered the storms of life together. Torben was a proud father to his children, Sara, Merete (Tyler), Sonja (Olivia) and Patrick; his granddaughters, Anteia and Vya; and his stepsons, Hector and Fabian – all of whom he loved dearly, always offering support and wisdom as each pursued their individual life adventures around the world. His remarkable journey as a pilot, art dealer, masterful entrepreneur, loving husband and father leaves an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known him. Though he may have taken his final flight, his spirit will continue to soar through his family, his business and his legacy. Rest in peace, Torben/Dad. You are truly one-of-a-kind.
