Trisha LANGLEY Obituary

LANGLEY, TRISHA (Patricia Anne) Trisha (Patricia Anne) Langley died peacefully at home the morning of January 7th, 2011, with faithful caregivers Amina and Clarita near her side and family close by. Trisha had been afflicted for well over fifteen years with untreatable and inconceivably incapacitating pain in her head and neck from major nerve injuries that caused intractable neuropathic pain. Her family and friends mourn her passing but are greatly comforted that she no longer suffers. Trisha was a lifelong animal lover and outdoorswoman, especially in water and swimming. All seasons in nature were her joy. She was a creative and caring teacher, a successful realtor, designer, and partner in building both a significantly successful international business plus a fine art gallery. The latter two still flourish today. Always a fine artist and supporter of the arts, Trisha was later able to become a patron. Her design, interior design, and decorating skills still grace lovely homes in many places and not least amongst these are her own in Toronto and Muskoka. She long supported wildlife and environmental preservation plus many other charities. Along with her immediate family, Trisha was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. While a truly beautiful woman, her greatest beauty always lay within. Trisha lost her mother Edith Langley in 1998 and her father Arthur Langley in 2004. She is wished Godspeed by her sister Kathryn Langley Hope (Toronto), brother Arthur Langley Jr. & Linda Gray (Sanford & Durham, Maine), Aunt Agnes Publicover (Vancouver & Toronto), Sandy Groundwater (England), Chris & Nancy Groundwater (Calgary), Jennifer (Scott and children) (Canmore AB) and many other Groundwater cousins, Uncle George Markow (Hartford CT), Uncle Bas & Aunt Sue Markow (Bracebridge), many Markow cousins, nieces & God-daughters Charissa (Toronto), Melina (Calgary), and Tanika (Calgary) deKoninck, their mother Susie Doherty (Calgary), God-daughter Emma Mackenzie (Vancouver), and never forgetting Trisha's many and faithful friends. True wealth in life is the good people and great friends in your life and...particularly in this regard...Trisha was a truly blessed and wealthy woman. The family would like to thank Dr Tony Wells for his care. As she wished, her remains were cremated in a private ceremony. There will be a Celebration of Trisha's Life for family and friends on Saturday, February 26th in Toronto at The Royal Ontario Museum, of which she and the family are Patrons. In the early summer of this year and in accordance with her wishes, Trisha's ashes will join her parents in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto and be spread at her beloved 'Swamp' in Muskoka and lastly on the Atlantic Ocean. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would best honour Trisha.
