VEDA GRAHAM Obituary
(née Donoghue) Surrounded by family and love, Veda passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. Beloved wife of 52 years to Norman Kenneth John Graham (d. 2020), and adored mother of Leigh-Anne (Grant), Stephanie (Tibor), and Ian (Jessica). Spirited Nonni to Ruby, George, Miah, Griffin, Vivienne, and Norah. A true Toronto original, Veda attended East York Collegiate, where she formed a lifelong circle of friends known as The Fairies. Through that orbit she met Norman, her great love and partner in laughter and loyalty. Together they built a life in The Beaches filled with humour, friends, and happy chaos. Curious and full of energy, she poured herself into travel, theatre, book club, curling at Royals, tennis at Kew, golf at The Toronto Hunt and Sara Bay, and bridge. Her friendships ran deep and wide, and her hospitality legendary; cottage weekends and holiday feasts were joyful operations run with precision and flair. Her grandchildren were her favourite audience. She ruled at cards (fairness optional) and celebrated every milestone with them, big or small. Strength, for Veda, meant grace and perseverance; she embodied both. A celebration of life will be held at The Toronto Hunt, 1355 Kingston Road, on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with remembrances at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Michael's Hospital Foundation or CAMH would be appreciated.
