Walter's family is heartbroken to announce his passing on May 31, 2024, at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, just following his 88th Year. He passed away peacefully in the presence of his son, Gregory; his future daughter-in-law, Katerina; sister, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, future in-laws and caregivers. Walter was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene, whom he married in 1965, whom he deeply loves. They were married for over 56 years. Walter and Irene will be dearly missed by their only child and son, Gregory. Walter was the beloved son of the late Yuk Kee Tsang and Chak Shun Lau; and brother of Lily, Stephen, Alfred and Rhonda. He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law, Mabel, Mary Anne, and Florence; and his nephews and nieces. Walter was a devoted Christian, elder in his church, a devoted husband, father, teacher, and pioneer. He was fluent in English, French, Cantonese and Mandarin and often asked to MC weddings and to attend meetings with Government officials. He enjoyed tennis and basketball. He very much enjoyed travelling to destinations with his wife and son.
