WARREN THOMAS WALKER.

(November 4, 1950 – February 28, 2026) It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Warren T. Walker. Warren was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Daisy Walker. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diana Walker; his children, Andrew Walker (Melissa), Michael Walker (Tara), and their mother Jane Havercroft; David Walker (Sam), Selina Walker, and their mother, Katherine Gay; Samantha Zortea Grant (Richard), and Caileigh Zortea/Wolski (Thomas); and his brother, Ross Walker (Ingrid). He is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and by his treasured twelve grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable pride and joy. Warren was truly a force of nature. With his exuberant personality and boundless energy, he was often the life of the party and embraced each day to the fullest. From his early years growing up in Don Mills, to graduating from Don Mills Collegiate and earning his Bachelor of Science from York University, Warren's passions were clear: adventures at Taylor Statten Camps, hockey, lifelong friendships, being creative and living life on his own terms. He deeply cherished the forever friends he made during his Don Mills days and on his hockey teams. Together, they built a treasury of memories from youthful escapades to the shared milestones of marriage and fatherhood - bonds that remained a constant and meaningful part of his life. After university, Warren began his career as a CPA, but it wasn't long before he realized his interpersonal strengths were better suited to the people-focused side of business. Alongside his brother Ross, they ran the family Metropolitan Glass Company; and with his dear friend Jim Millar, he co-founded Millar Walker & Gay, a successful accounting recruitment firm that served many of Canada's top companies. Ever the innovator, Warren's entrepreneurial spirit extended beyond recruiting. He invented products designed to make the world a little better and a little more fun, including Shin Tights, Practice Ice, Pail of Pucks, and Raccoon Check. He also spent long hours in the garage, working with wood to make each home he lived in more beautiful and special. Never one to stand still, Warren later embraced yet another chapter building his own home at his beloved Big Gull Lake. Over the past twelve years, he dedicated himself to creating a beautiful custom lakeside retreat, next to the family cottage he named "Driftwood," where he delighted in the rhythm of "retired life," surrounded by family, friends, and the lake he loved so deeply. He never regretted a single choice; instead, he relished the journey, the lessons, and the love that shaped his life. He was a proud father, a devoted grandfather, an inventive spirit, and, above all, a man who lived fully and generously. His laughter, warmth, sense of humor, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A service will be held at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Toronto, Ontario M4T 2V8, March 20, 2026, commencing at 1 p.m., with reception to follow. A Celebration of Life will take place at Big Gull Lake later this summer; the date is yet to be determined.
