Deepest condolences to the family. I attended the service virtually and was moved by the many reflections. I had spoken to Mr. Deeks several times and exchanged many emails while researching a play about his aunts. I gained access to Florence Deeks papers and Mr. Deeks helped me to understand the context of many entry's. While the service was on, I reflected on one of the last messages I received from him, in 2020, ended "My birthday, 87, yesterday so glad I have made it this far to see this!!" May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Aunt Julie and the entire Deeks clan. You have lost an exceptional man, husband, father , grandfather, great-grandfather and host extraordinaire. I will always treasure the image of Aunt Julie and Uncle Bill on their daily Minnicog walks, with their walking sticks and their fabulous tweed outfits, generations of various labs in tow. Uncle Bill's welcoming hugs, his infectious smile, and his generous libation pours were legendary. He will be missed. Love Andrea

Being at a gathering or two at Russell Hill Rd we Met Bill and Julie after Flora married Bill Strickland. He was a wonderful host and proud of his children, pointing out their portraits on the walls on Russell Hill Rd, making us feel part of the family. My thoughts are with you Julie

Dear Julie and family,. Wishing Bill's loved ones comfort and peace at this very sad time. May all of your memories give you strength, and hopefully fond remembrances will give you the courage you need to adjust to this enormous loss. We can all recall the
insightful and engaging stories that Cousin Bill would
share with such fondness. We have lost a figurehead

To Julie, Bob, Liz, Jamie and the rest of the Deeks family:
I am truly sorry to read of Bill's passing. I fondly remember my time at your Toronto home and especially my month at Minnicog Island. For me, yours was a home away from home. Bill was always a gentleman who demanded no more of others than he demanded of himself. He was an excellent role model for all of us. You have my deepest sympathies during this difficult time.

I send my sincerest condolences to the Deeks family. Bill and Julie were longtime family friends of the Patersons. I remember many great Christmas parties pre-midnight service, and dogs. Bill was a faithful and longtime supporter of the Parkinson's SuperWalk fundraising campaign, re: his friend Chris, my dad.

Dear Liz, you are the luckiest girl in the world to have had a Dad like Bill. Such a star he was for all of you and anyone who met him. Thank you for the beautiful obituary. I am praying for a bright light to shine on you all while he begins his next adventure.
