William Ronald Grozelle
Bill Grozelle, age 84, died Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Temiskaming Hospital.
He was predeceased by his wife Marilynn and their first-born son Merrill. He is survived by his children: Kathy Sasha (Abe), Karen Wilson (Jim) and Ron Grozelle (Moira) and his eight grandchildren. He will be remembered fondly by all who crossed his path.
Bill was a life-long resident of Haileybury. His athletic life was long and varied; he excelled at every sport he attempted. In particular he represented Northern Ontario in three Canadian Curling Championships. It would be remiss to not note how involved he was in many and varied community organizations.
In his later years, he developed a strong passion for singing and participated in two Senior Jubilees at Roy Thomson Hall.
A celebration of Bill's life will take place at the Haileybury Golf Club on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. Casual attire is encouraged and a reception will follow.
His children are grateful for the compassionate care their father received from Dr. Pace and the nursing staff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Temiskaming Shores Minor Hockey Association.
