McGARRITY, William F.
Entered into rest in North Bay, on Saturday, March 6, 1999. William F. (Bill) McGarrity in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Helen Margaret, Huntsville, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by his children, Kathryn M. Gilbert, Liverpool, N.S., Leslie B. McGarrity, Richmond, B.C.; William T. McGarrity, Huntsville, Ontario; and Natalie A. Murphy, Antigua, W.I. Brother of Janet Jermano of Naples, Florida and the late Robert McGarrity of Rochester, N.Y. Bill will be sadly missed by his many friends, relatives and associates. Bill served with distinction in the Second World War, seeing extensive action with the 2nd Armoured Division during the Battle of the Bulge and in other theatres of war. Bill entered his work life after graduating as a Forestry Engineer from the University of New Brunswick in 1950. During his long career in the wood products industry, Bill was an important and well respected contributor to his company and his industry. A memorial service was held at Trinity United Church in Huntsville on Wednesday, March 10, 1999.
