It is with profound sadness that we share that John passed peacefully at home at The Briton House in Toronto on Saturday, August 30, 2025. John leaves behind his beloved wife of 41 years, Sally Morris; his children, Douglas, Brent, and Joanna (Ryan Turner); and his four grandchildren, Austin and Colton Turner, and Brett and Ray Morris. He was a caring stepfather to Sally's children, John Borra and Jill Borra (Erol Blakely), and a devoted step-grandfather to Alex Redfern, and Briggs and Makenna Blakely. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Pauline Morris, and by his first wife and the mother of his children, Karen Morris. John lived life to the fullest, with grace, humour, kindness, and generosity of mind and spirit. He attended Etobicoke Collegiate and later graduated from Western University with a degree in business. Most of his adult years were spent in the printing business, where he and his father, together with business partners, established McLaren Morris & Todd. John was an enthusiastic sportsman, both as a participant and as a spectator. He loved to travel to watch the action live - whether it was his beloved Blue Jays, a round of golf, Wimbledon tennis, the Atlanta Olympics or the Kentucky Derby. He cherished time with family at the cottage on Peninsula Lake, boating, skiing, and enjoying a glass of wine on the dock. He was also an avid music lover, always ready to take in a live concert. A celebration of John's life will be held at the Humphrey Funeral Home, A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville), Toronto, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to a
Charity of Your Choice in John's memory. Condolences may be forwarded through
