OMAND, William Duncan
Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2006 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia in his 68th year. Beloved son of Jane and the late James. Loving husband for thirty years of Joyce (nee Love). Devoted father of Janet (Patrick Hurlimann), Karen (John Sheldon), Jennifer, Lindsay (Andy Forbes) and Fraser. Grandfather of Briar, Corrie and Dean Hurlimann, Taylor and Jacee Sheldon and Andy Jr. and Jonathan Forbes. Survived by sister Jane (Michael Barber) and brother John (Mary Jane). Also survived by mother and father-in- law, David and Sarah Love. William was a graduate of Upper Canada College and Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. A long standing member of Rotary International, he was a founding member of the Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Chapter and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants for over forty years. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21st. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 22nd at one o'clock. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Leaside Room of the funeral home. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 1920 Yonge Street, 4th Floor, Toronto, Ontario M4S 3E2, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
