My wife Jill and I knew Bill in Vancouver around 45 years ago. We all lived in the same building on Beach Ave. My parents knew his in the British Foreign Office world. I think that´s where he acquired his noted savior faire. We are sorry to learn of his passing. Bill was one of a kind. The best person to have at a dinner party. Generous, funny, wise. Best wishes to all who knew him and loved him.

William leaves behind so many good memories with so many friends and colleagues; may we all continue to smile when we remember his sense of humour, his generosity, his commitment to excellence.

I worked with William while he was on the Board of AFBS. He was an original, and always a wonderful icebreaker when the conversation was stalled.
RIP William

Dearest William, I will never forget the gift of you starring in my play. That you recorded it for posterity will always be remembered and appreciated. Much love, wherever you are. LOL!

I worked with William for many years in the public library audiobooks program. He was one of the favourite narrators and clients of the service were always thrilled to meet him "in person" at our annual meet and greet. William and I stayed in touch after we retired, meeting for coffee once or twice a year. I'm sad that he's gone. RIP William.
