Dr. Singer became my endocrinologist in 1972 when I was 6 years old. I was referred to William by Dr. Oscar Singer. Dr. W changed my life on many occasions. He and his brother were both quite familiar with my extremely rare kidney illness as they had both treated patients afflicted with this illness. His knowledge and deep caring gave my family and I great optimism. William was like an uncle to me. He always greeted me with his cheerful smile and that glint in his eyes. His empathy reminded me that I was not only receiving world class health care I was also receiving a rare commodity in the medical profession. Thank you so much for sharing him with me!! He made a huge impact on me. Doctor William Singer will never be forgotten for as long as I live!

I was acquainted with Bill via his son David, in Shropshire, England. Bill was a lovely man who was down to earth and had a wonderful sense of humour. My condolences to Patricia, Jeremy and lovely David.

On the Occasion of the Celebration of Life of William Singer
We were involved in a minor way with William for the last third of his life when he was the joyful Yin to Patricia's Yang happy, smiling, kind and generous.
We never heard a negative word from William, except maybe about the modern education of younger doctors. He was the eternal physician, practicing well into his 80's, loyal to his long time patients and in consultation and referral mode all the time always eager to fix us up with a better doctor, someone he knew personally, even after we moved to BC!
We will never forget his generosity, offering us his one and only bottle of 30 year old Amarone because he knew we liked wine.
William seemed perpetually happy, gracious and kind to the end. We are pleased to honour his contribution to our lives with a donation to the Alzheimer Society in his memory.
