STURTRIDGE, William C., DDS, MD, PhD
After a long illness, Bill died on Tuesday, April 26, 2005. He was the much loved husband of Patricia Crawford, father of William and Samantha at home, Shelagh of Toronto, Patricia, in England, Richard in the United States and Judith in Switzerland. Born in Toronto on December 27, 1931, he was the son of the late William and Myrtle (Winkworth) Sturtridge and brother of Betty Porter and the late Dr. John Sturtridge. Bill graduated from the University of Toronto faculties of Dentistry (1954), Medicine (1965) and received his Doctor of Philosophy in pharmacology from U.of T. in 1971. He was a staff physician specializing in bone disease at the Toronto Hospital (General), Department of Medicine until his retirement. In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family thanks the compassionate staff of 2W Castleview- Wychwood Towers who cared for Bill with love and humour during the last five years of his life.
