WILLIAM WILSON Obituary

William Henry Michael "Mike" Wilson, B.Eng., MBA (1941 - 2026) With great sadness but tremendous gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Mike Wilson, peacefully and with family at his side, on February 19, 2026. Born March 31, 1941, in Westmount, Quebec, he was the only child of the late William Henry Wilson and the late Estelle Myra Wilson (nee Bowden), and spent much of his early life in Pointe Claire, Quebec, where he attended John Rennie High School. He received his Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from McGill University in 1963, where he was a member of the Engineering Honours Society (Phi Epsilon Alpha). In 1968, he obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, which led to a satisfying and accomplished business career with NCR, Standard Brands and Nabisco. Mike was married to the love of his life, Claire Wilson (nee Hamilton), for almost 62 years, and together they had two beloved children, the late Susanna Claire Weeks (Mike) and William Henry Hamilton Wilson (Dawn). He is also survived by four grandchildren, Matthew Weeks, Aidan Weeks, Rachel Wilson and Henry Wilson, whom he absolutely adored. His loss will also be deeply felt by his brother-in-law, David Hamilton (Claire) of Montreal, and his family, as well as other family members who were so fond of him. We extend our sincere appreciation to the nurses and doctors in the Coronary Care Unit at St. Joseph's Health Centre for their kind, attentive and expert care. A private family service has been held. If desired, donations to the Salvation Army, Kingsway Lambton United Church, or a charity of your choosing would be much appreciated. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca.
