PILA, Zalman (Ziggy)
After a lengthy illness in Toronto on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at the age of 89. Beloved husband and soulmate of Pola Pila. Dear father and father-in-law of Nathan and Lily Pila, Debbie Pila, and Sheryl, Jordie, Ashley, Jamie, Corey and Sarah Saperia and great-grandfather to Oliver Litner. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 26 at Steeles Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment at Bathurst Lawn Memorial Park, Clanton Park section. Shiva will be observed at 199 Clanton Park Road. Ziggy was a survivor of Auschwitz and it was with immense pride and pleasure that he worked hard his entire life placing infinite trust in his Pola.
