Marion Martha JONES

JONES (Nee Wilson), Marion Martha Peacefully passed from this world Friday July 19th, 2019 at Christie Oaks Care Home, Halton Hills Ontario. Beloved wife of Dennis Jones (predeceased 2002) Loving Mother of Andrew (Arlene) Kenneth, Mimi (Doug). Proud Nana of Belinda and Abby Jones-Carr and Ferguson and Quinn Gardiner. Predeceased by Brothers William Wilson, Thomas Wilson and Sister Nancy Wilson Allen. Fondly remembered by her nephews, nieces and extended family and friends. Martha was born in Ottawa Ontario September 15th, 1941. The family relocated to Montreal where she spent her life until 1977. Martha attended the Montreal Ecole de Beaux Arts where she was under the tutelage of Arthur Lismer (Group of Seven). Martha worked at Zellers in Georgetown for over 25 years where she was the Fashion Merchandising Manager before retiring in 2006. Martha was a long time member of the Credit Valley Artisans and an avid golfer. Martha had many friends and her lighthearted personality and infectious laugh will be sorely missed by all. Special thanks to Cynthia and all the staff at Christie Oaks for their exceptional care and compassion for our Mum. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home , 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Saturday August 10th from 2 to 5 pm in the Trafalgar room for a celebration of life.
