WEBSTER F. Obituary

WEBSTER, Josephine F.
1944-2022
On December 10, 2022 (Josie) Josephine F Webster passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Davidson Health center at the age of 78. Josie is survived by her husband Ken Webster, her daughter Doreen Kutschall, her grandchildren Lloyd (Molly), Dustin and Cody Mason. Great grandchildren Leighton, Abigail, and Theodore Mason. Brother Joseph Kutschall. Plus many nieces , nephews, and friends. Josephine is predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Lena Kutschall, brothers Pete and Adam Kutschall. Sisters Barb Scwartz, Francis Koenders, and Annie Dyck. Josie also lost many special friends. Josie was born in Kincaid Sask. on July 14, 1944. She was raised on a farm near Hazenmore Sask. She went to Hazenmore Public school. As a young girl she was very shy. However, she seemed to thrive while helping her mom in the garden. As a young woman and mother she had to find work. Josie got hired on in Gravelbourg area working for Lloyd Zeigler. Josie was a farm hand. She tended to cows, pigs and chickens. Plus took on house chores and meals. All the while raising her daughter Doreen. After Lloyd passed away Doreen moved away to Ontario. Josie moved to Swift Current to be close to her sister Francis. They enjoyed going to dances and visiting. They both loved old country music. Josie used to watch her sister Square dance. Josie wanted to keep busy so she applied for a housekeeping job. She was hired by a sheep farmer named Ken Webster near the town of Elbow in 2004. By November 11, 2006 they were married. Josephine was an awesome cook and baker. Often times while she served up her food she would say "how is it!" before you took a bite. She was always playful. Her true passion was gardening. She would travel great distances to get the best bedding plants. Josie put in a very large garden every year. She was always giving away her vegetables. She also made amazing pickles, canned goods and jams. Josie would take care of the sheep and lambs while Ken was at work. She teased Ken that they only became naughty and ran away when he left for work. Then she would have to chase them home to safety. Ken and Josie enjoyed visiting with friends. Dining out was a treat. Josie loved family. The happy couple would travel to see grandkids and often Brother Joe and Doreen in Gull Lake. For a few years they camped at Joe's family campground at his farm. Josie liked to look in her brother's garden to see how things were growing. They also took trips to Moose Jaw. Josie enjoyed watching the Blue Jay baseball games and puzzle books. In later years she really enjoyed playing a card game called 3 to kings. She could play for hours. Josie also liked to giggle and tease people. She never wore makeup but always had her hair done and dangle earrings in her ears. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the Davison Health center for the wonderful care Josie received. Special thanks to The Outlook Funeral Chapel for Josie's final care and cremation. Any cards or well wishes can be directed to them or to Ken. Donations can be given to the Cancer Foundation or any Charity that helps animals. As Josie was a huge animal lover. The burial to put Josephine to rest will be set at a later date.
