Carole WESTINGTON Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the age of 87. Carole was the beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Westington (1980) and dear friend of the late Ken Hook (2022). Mom will be missed by her daughters: Heather Mepham (the late Craig), Donna (Bryan) Suggitt and Lynne (Jeff) Tysick; grandchildren, Marie (Matt), Shannon (Mark), Amanda (Ben) and Dylan; "GG" of Chantal, Amina and William; great-great-grandmother of Jake and Mya. Carole was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Challice and predeceased by her brothers, Max and Roy and sister, Beryl Cruise. Fondly remembered by her niece, Linda Leone and her dear friend, Adele.
Carole loved a good game of cards, telling jokes, going for coffee with her many friends and sharing stories of her days being the first female cab driver in Peterborough's "Car 7."
Many thanks to the staff at Fairhaven (4 West) for their kindness and friendship given to our Mom.
A graveside service for Carole will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Rosemount Memorial Gardens, 2551 Whittington Dr., Peterborough at 11:30 a.m. Celebration of Life to follow at Baxter Creek Golf and Country Club 1702 Cedar Valley Rd. Fraserville.

I was unable to attend on Saturday as I had hoped. Carole was one of my Mother´s (Helen Dunn´s) best friends for many years and I was able to get to know and love her over the years when we met at Chubbys for dinner or she came to visit when Mom moved to Belleville. Carole will be greatly missed by her many friends as well as all her family. My heartfelt condolences go to all of you. Heaven won´t be the same with Helen and Carole. That thought puts a smile on my face as I hope it does yours. Helens daughter Carol Hamilton
