My family moved to Coe Hill in 2019, and Darwin was one of the first people I met. I was out at the end of the driveway fixing the mailbox when he drove by, stopped, and introduced himself. After that day I´d see him frequently, and he´d always stop to say hello. The last time I saw him was again at the end of the driveway, where I was standing over a recently felled birch. He asked me if I wanted it, and I told him it was all his. By the time I returned that evening, it was gone. He was a good man, and we´ll miss him.

Darwin was one of the gentlest souls I have met. He always had a smile and a positive word. He will be remembered often and fondly.

Uncle "Joe" as we called him will be missed. We thought a lot of him. We are both working out of the province but send our best wishes. Chris and James and families.
