David GILES Obituary
Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Ladine (nee Olson). Loving father of Shawn and his wife Shelley and Darrell and his wife Donna. Proud grandfather of Breanna, Autumn, Colton, Bryce and Curtis. Predeceased by his parents T. Norman and Ruth Giles and by his brother Doug (Carol). David will be lovingly remembered by his brother Donald (Jeanie) and his sister Ruthie (Tim). Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE. Interment at Little Lake Cemetery. In memory of David, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada. Online condolences can be expressed at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ladine and the Giles family. Frank and I will miss our backyard chats occasional neighbourhood beverage, the front porch wave when coming home from work hugs and laughs. We lived next door to Dave and Ladine in the early '70s. I was a kid, but remember my parents becoming fast friends, and speaking of the them both fondly through the years. Sorry for your loss Ladine, Shawn and Darrell.

We are so sorry to hear about Dave's passing Ladine. We were thinking of you both a few weeks ago as we were checking out the wall at Little Lake cemetery and discovered our niche is a little below yours. Darrell then chatted about all the good times and memorable events he and Dave had when working for Lionel on the ambulance and at the hospital. We laughed about the nights on the snowmobiles. Thank heavens for memories! Thinking of you and your family during this sad time.
