Diana MELIZAN Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Diana Melizan (née Rust), Saturday February 26th at Extendicare Lakefield, one month short of her 85th birthday. Predeceased by her parents Gwendolyn 'Lally' and Maurice Rust (Dorset, UK), survived by her husband of 63 years Charles Melizan, her children Susan Conway (Todd), Ian Melizan (Sandra), Louis Melizan (Korin), and her 8 grandchildren, Peter, Charlotte, Katharine, Shannon, Ashley, Poppy, Georgia, and Harriet. Missed by her sister, Belinda Ward (Brian) and brother Martin Rust (Diana) in the UK, and cousins, nieces and nephews around the world.
Longtime Proprietor of Three Castles Resort in Buckhorn Ontario Canada, Diana was born and grew up in Trinidad, West Indies and migrated to Canada the early 1980's with her husband and youngest son, Louis. A funeral service will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted toHENDREN FUNERAL HOMES LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada. Sending love and prayers to your family. Diana was one of the most beautiful women I was blessed to have in my life. She welcomed me like family the first time we met, and continued to, no matter how much time passed, and treated my boys the same way, on day one. Diana brought kindness and joy to everyone. She is a bright, shinning Angel, now showering us all with love and joy from above.
