Lifelong Otonabee Farmer, Long Time Parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Third Degree Knight of Columbus Our Lady of the Assumption Council 14032, and Knights of Columbus Bishop Marrocco Fourth Degree Assembly 882, Long Time 4-H Member and Club Leader, County Director with the Peterborough County Federation of Agriculture, Member of the Agricultural Hall of Fame. At his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Francis, beloved husband of 70 years to Rita Beaudoin. Loving and devoted father of Paul and his wife Nancy, Anne Johnston and her husband Lynn, John and his wife Debbie, and predeceased by his son Barry (Natalie), and his daughter-in-law Judy. Cherished Grandfather of Dustin, Jill, Katie, Maxwell, Cody, Sheldon, Jordan, Danielle, Cory, Chris, Nicole, Tristan, Taylor, Taryn, Alicia, and Laura, and sadly missed by his many great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Dear brother-in-law of Loretta Crowley (Frank, predeceased), and Helen Girard (Rollie, predeceased). Son of the late John Redmond Walsh and Germaine Walsh. Relatives and friends are invited to call at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Sunday, October 31st from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Parish Prayers and Knights of Columbus Prayers 4:00 p.m.). Private Funeral Mass for immediate family in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 1830 Keene Road, on Monday, November 1, 2021. Monsignor Michael Heffernan officiating. Interment Lakefield Cemetery followed by a public reception for family and friends in Highland Park Funeral Centre beginning at 12:30 p.m. (Proof of double vaccination required). In memory of Francis and in lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of the Assumption Church would be appreciated by his family.
