Frederick Moher Obituary

Fred passed away peacefully on Thursday December 2, 2021 at Elderwood Nursing Home, Williamsville, New York after a four year battle with cancer and a final struggle with Covid-19.
Fred is survived by his loving sister Catherine and her husband Carl Blondin, his beloved niece Elizabeth Blondin of Belleville and his loving Aunt, Teresa Dowdall of Peterborough.
Predeceased by his parents John (Jack) Moher and Kathleen (Kay) O'Donnell and his nephew and godson Robert John Blondin.
Mourning his passing are many cousins and friends in both Peterborough and the Amherst, New York area.
Fred received his training as a registered nurse at the Alexian Brothers Hospital in Chicago and spent his nursing career both in Clarence, New York and at St. Joseph's Hospital in Cheektowaga, New York where he worked in both the Intensive Care and Cardiac Care Units for the last twenty five years of his nursing career.
A mass of Christian burial was said at St Leo's Roman Catholic Church in Amherst, New York after which he has been returned to Peterborough where he will be interred with his parents at St Peter's Cemetery, on Tuesday January 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
The family is very thankful to Mr. Paul and Mrs. Sharyn Iten of Amherst, New York for their unwavering commitment to Fred's physical, emotional and spiritual well being. Fred was very fortunate to have such good people to help him through these difficult times.
Thank you also to the dedicated staff at Elderwood Nursing Home in Williamsville, New York for providing Fred with the best care possible.
