Gerald Doucette

1947 - 2021

Gerry passed away at his home after struggling courageously with Pulmonary Fibrosis. His determination and will was strong and he is now at peace. Gerry was a very proud member of the Sheetmetal Workers Union (Local 30). Born to Henri "Dusty" and Leona Doucette in Sault Ste. Marie, he will be missed dearly by best friend and wife of 35 years, Violet Doucette. Gerry was the proud father of Shane (Karen), Heather Cole (Sean) and has been reunited with his beloved daughter Tammy (deceased August 2020). Loved and respected by step children Penny Howlett (Fred) and the late Rick Howlett, Gerry's love for his six grandchildren is endless and he has left many memories for them to cherish, along with his five great-grandchildren he was so very proud of. Devoted brother to Michael (Barb), David (Doreen), Diane (Wayne) and Lillian (late Red), predeceased by his brother Roland (Mary) and sisters Sylvia (Rick) and Joanne. The family would like to thank the palliative care team for their support and dedication in Gerry's finals days. Gratitude also goes to Dr. Verma who provided for Gerry with such patience and care. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
