Passed away with family by her side at St. Joseph's at Fleming, Peterborough on Thursday January 13, 2022. Inez Barker (Doney) of Peterborough, formerly of Bancroft in her 92nd year. Inez was the loving wife of Allan Barker (d. 2011). Sadly missed by her children Dave Barker (Cindy McNeely) of Geraldton and Diane Barker (Alan Roe) of Toronto. Loving Gram of Michael Barker and great-grama of Courtney, Jessica, Alexandria and Samantha. Survived by her brothers Allan Doney, Mervin Doney (Diana), sister-in-law Edith Doney and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Charlotte, sisters Celia Steele (George), Helen Spence (Elmer), Doris Rutledge (Harry), Hazel Kinder (George) and brothers Emerson Doney (Audrey) and Murray Doney. A private funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM. So sorry to hear of the passing of Inez. My parents (the Plummers) lived across the street from Al & Inez many years ago. They were a lovely couple and good neighbours to my family. We need more people in this world like them..
