Jean BARKER Obituary
Formerly of Fifes Bay Peterborough, Jean died peacefully on February 11, 2022 at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound. Loving wife of Lloyd/aka "Bark" (2005). Adored mother of Stephen (Wasaga Beach), John (Providenciales, Turks and Caicos) and Pat (Kemble). Loving mother-in-law of Dee Agingu and David Wilkins. Special in so many ways to her granddaughter, Savanna, and nieces Donna Fuller (Lakefield) and Brenda McIsaac (Peterborough). Jean will be remembered for her grace, wonderful sense of humour, kindness and appreciation of others. Jean's family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Seasons, Owen Sound where she received unconditional caring and support since 2012. Interment at the Emily Cemetery will follow in the spring. If so desired, family would appreciate donations to the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce. Arrangements entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.

I have very fond memories of my Grandma Barker. Wonderful cook and baker, sitting in the chair by the large window overlooking Fife´s Bay chatting, watching Jeopardy followed by a 9pm snack. They were good times and won´t be forgotten.

Dear Jean, it was an absolute pleasure to get to know you and your wonderful family during the time you were coming to me to have you hair done. You were always so positive and cheerful, paired with a wonderful and witty sense of humour. I looked forward to our Wednesday afternoons when you would come into the shop as you always brightened my day. I´ll never forget you and how kind and generous you were or the abundance of love you had for your family.

We bought Mrs Barker's former Fifes Bay home and spoke with her many times through the process. She was a kind and genuine person and gave us her time freely. She comes up in conversation regularly and we wondered how she was doing. RIP and condolences to the family.
