When I was a young electrician at GE Herb took me up gliding. It was a great experience!!! So sorry to here if his passing!

I have very fond feelings for this man. He was quick to greet and engage you in conversation. He always inquired as to how you were doing and had interesting things to say. He had broad interests and knowledge of so many things. Ever the engineer, he always wanted to help people and make their lives better by sharing advice on many topics. He never left you without a smile and a friendly wave. It's knowing people like him that make life worth living. It was wonderful to have him in my life. It's too bad I couldn't have seen him more often. My condolences to his family.

So very sorry to hear about Herbie. Although I rarely saw him, he always took the time to have a great conversation with me when I did. I do remember visiting him in Peterborough with Mary. Sorry for your loss.

I would like to say what a wonderful neighbor John was to my parents. My father also was a GE retiree and John would often spend time with my dad " in the workshop". He also would do the little things for mom and dad without being asked but simply because he was so kind and considerate. John was a man of integrity and we ill miss seeing him in the community.
