John WATT Obituary

WATT, John Norman November 24, 1957-February 4, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing our dear friend and brother, John Norman Watt, AKA John Bon Watt (Wattsy) on February 4, 2019 at the age 62 years young. Son of Dick and Evelyn, Brother of Linda Watt, Uncle of Joe Watt, and BFF of Greg, Abby, and so many others. His huge heart and smile will be missed by his many friends. His laugh and snore's will be heard forever. John leaves behind a legacy of excellence as a touring sound engineer, production manager and teacher with Metal Works and Sony Music. Losing this great man so early in his life is a tragedy to everyone he knew. Recently he was the front of house sound engineer for The Tea Party and Kim Mitchell. He has toured with many great artists such as: I Mother Earth, Ozzy Osbourne, Blue Rodeo, Our Lady Peace, The Standstills, Corey Hart, Collective Soul, and, at the beginning of it all, with Peterborough's own Streettalk for over 15 years, where he cut his teeth. He was dedicated to making sure, through music, that everyone he was around was happy, smiling and laughing. A Celebration of Life will be held in his hometown of Peterborough, Ontario, on Saturday April 6, 2019, at the Peterborough Navy Club, Lansdowne St. E. at River Road from 7pm until 1am. Donations can be made to the Unison Benevolent Fund https://unisonfund.ca/john-watt
