Joseph R. Hamilton

Our hearts have been heavy since the untimely passing of Joseph (Joe) Robert Hamilton on the 10th of July 2020 at the age of 71. Precious husband and best friend of Shelley Jean-Marie Hamilton, proud father to sons Constable Andrew Hamilton (Corrie) and Major Jon Hamilton, CD (Hailey). Loving Papa to grandchildren Rylan, Joseph, Camden, Oscar, Constance, and Iain. Born on the 21st July 1948 in Peterborough, ON, Joe was the youngest son of Dr. Harry H. Hamilton and Marion S. Hamilton (predeceased) and brother to John Hamilton (Kathy predeceased) and Susan Morley (Jim). Joe raised his family in Norwood, ON, and worked for DeLaval in Peterborough, ON for several years. He developed many friendships within the agricultural community across Canada and with everyone else he had the pleasure of meeting. Many were unable to say goodbye to Joe during the height of the COVID pandemic, and as such the family will be celebrating his life on Saturday, 11th of June 2022 at 1 PM at the Church of the Redeemer in Duntroon, ON. Service will be followed by the internment of his remains at the cemetery near the church where several past generations of Hamilton's rest peacefully.
